Welcome to Kivu Post, a web-based newspaper established in 2021 by a group of individuals who have been living outside their home country, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), for over 25 years. Our mission is to shed light on the intricate and often overlooked stories surrounding the conflict in the Kivu region of the DRC. As an independent and unbiased news source, we strive to provide accurate and comprehensive reporting to keep the global community informed about the complex issues impacting this critical part of Africa.

Our Vision

Kivu Post was born out of a deep desire to bridge the information gap that separates the Kivu region from the rest of the world. Despite the beauty and richness of its culture, history, and resources, the DRC’s eastern provinces have been embroiled in a prolonged conflict that has caused untold suffering to its people. Our vision is to illuminate the untold stories, voices, and experiences of those directly affected by the conflict and its far-reaching consequences.

The Conflict in the Kivu Region

The Kivu region, located in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has been grappling with conflict for decades.
